OPERATIONS / NOTES

Supplier Notes: Kestrel Milling

One page per regular supplier: how to order, what they're good for, how long they take, and what to watch out for. Keep it current — every purchase order starts here.

Kestrel Milling

Flour and milled grains

3–4 business days

Net 30, invoice with delivery

How to order

  • Email orders@kestrelmilling with a purchase order reference in the subject line.

  • Confirmation usually arrives the same day; chase after two business days.

  • Minimum order $150. Split deliveries allowed if one line is out of stock — say so in the notes.

What they're good for

  • Consistent quality across bread, cake, and rye flour.

  • Reliable delivery dates once confirmed.

  • Items we order regularly, like Bread flour (25kg), always priced on the current price list.

Delivery notes

  • Deliveries arrive Tuesday and Friday mornings to the dry goods storeroom door.

  • Driver won't wait — count on the pallet before signing, then inspect fully right after.

  • Damaged cases: photograph before the van leaves if possible.

Ordering history and watch-outs

  • October 2 delivery (PO-2041): 2 bags of bread flour short-shipped and backordered — replacement shipped with the next route.

  • Prices reviewed each January; expect a small January increase.

  • Backorders always ship with the next scheduled route, never separately.

Service and issues history

Two years as our flour supplier. One short-shipment in that period (handled same day). Quality complaints: none. Contact for problems: Sam Whitcombe, account manager.

Internal notes

  • Notes maintained by Ola Mensah — update after every delivery with anything that changed.

  • Backup supplier if lead times slip past a week: Harrowby Mills (quote on request).

Supplier notes don't place orders or update prices. Copy what matters into each purchase order, and update this page when terms or contacts change.
