A look inside the resource
| Slide / purpose | Speaker | Time |
|---|---|---|
| 1 · Question and context | Maya | 0:45 |
| 2 · Evidence and source | Jordan | 1:10 |
How to use this resource
- Start with the assignment prompt and rubric. Write the audience, purpose, and one takeaway the audience should remember.
- Outline slides as claims or questions, then add the evidence and verified source for each important point.
- Assign speakers and time for each section; plan transitions and a backup handoff if a speaker is absent.
- Rehearse out loud, check the total run time, and confirm the required file format, citations, and submission location.
Build the story before the slides
Use the outline to decide what the audience needs to understand and why each slide belongs. Put one useful idea on each row, with evidence and a source beside it. Then move to slide design and keep full citations in the places your instructor requires.
Share airtime and handoffs
Estimate time by section, not only by slide count. Name the speaker, transition cue, and backup for each part. Rehearsal helps expose crowded slides and uneven pacing while there is still time to revise.
Use the existing group guide
For a group presentation, pair this worksheet with the existing ZuffSuite College Group Presentation Planning Kit. The guide includes a role assignment example, a two-week timeline, a stage checklist, and a slide outline. This worksheet adds a concise objective-to-submission planning page.
Worked example
A practical example
A fictional three-person team is giving a six-minute presentation. Their outline assigns 45 seconds to the question and context, 70 seconds to a verified source comparison, and records a handoff cue before recommendations. The example illustrates time budgeting only; it is not a model answer or course-specific rubric.
Common questions
Is this a downloadable PowerPoint template?
No. It is an editable HTML planning worksheet that you can print or save as a PDF in your browser. It helps plan the presentation; it does not generate slides.
Where is the ZuffSuite group presentation guide?
The existing guide is linked from this page and includes a planning kit with a role sheet, timeline, checklist, and slide outline.
